We currently have 102 members signed up. The Pairings List will be posted shortly.
The Special Events Committee sent out a survey asking for input on how Special Events are set up. There were 180 responders. You can see the results by clicking here.
The main conclusions are summarized below. Thanks for responding, it will help set the direction for Special Events in 2024/
Conclusions
87% of the 180 survey responses were from 156 members who have played in Special Events. Therefore, the conclusions from the survey came from roughly 25% of the Metro Seniors members, most of those have played in Special Events. Thru August 2023 , 243 Metro Seniors members participated in Special Events.
64% were willing to pay up to $80 for an event, so $80 or less is a good guideline, and 33% were willing to pay up to $90. About 2/3 wanted lunch included if the cost targets were met. Therefore, lunch will be included if the all-in entry cost of $80 or less ($7 prize fee and $2 credit card fee is added to the course cost for golf and lunch). Two nice country club events a year will go up to $90.
Almost 2/3 of those responding liked the variety of formats with scrambles being the most popular.
