Division 4 Schedule Change

The flooding at Creve Coeur Lake has caused significant problems at The Quarry at Crystal Springs. We will not be playing at Crystal Springs until course conditions have improved. We will update members by Division as soon as we have appropriate information.

Division 4 will be playing at Lockhaven in Illinois on July 25.

Please adjust your calendars and schedules as needed.

Division 1 – Schedule Change

This is a reminder of a previous schedule change.

Division 1 will play ABERDEEN Golf Club on July 19.

Division 1 will play at WOODLANDS Golf Club on August 2.

These schedules have been updated on out Events Calendar and Division Schedules. Please make changes as needed in your personal calendars.

Revised Play Rules

The Rules Committee recommended and the Board of Governors approved a change in our Metro Seniors Rules of Play.

Effective immediately, rules have been expanded for lifting and cleaning golf balls without penalty. Previously we allowed lift/clean for especially wet conditions and path only play (Metro Seniors Rule #2). This is now revised and expanded to all course conditions as new Rule #7..

This applies to the the general area (teeing ground, fairway, rough, and greens). It does not apply in bunkers or in the penalty areas (red or yellow marked penalty areas) or in unmarked areas that are treated as penalty areas by Metro Seniors (native or high grass areas or wooded areas).

Under new Rule #7 (replaces previous Rule #2)

Cleaning the Ball and Substituting: A player may lift, clean, and place their ball back within 1 foot from its original spot at any time, except when it is in a bunker or penalty area. If a player is taking relief from a bunker or penalty area, the ball may be cleaned at that time. Any time a ball is legally lifted another ball may be substituted.
