Starters and Scorers are required for each weekly tournament. In a regular season, all members are expected to volunteer for these positions about once every two years. See Policies and Procedures, Article 1, Member Duties.
Starters arrive before the first tee time with the Golf Suitcase. They setup the registration table. They register all golfers for the tournament, ensure the Closest-To-Pin markers are taken out, and assign start times. Starters will be the last tee group to register and play.
Scorers arrive in time to play in the first tee group. On completing play, they collect completed scorecards and the Closest-To-Pin markers. They ensure the official white scorecard is filled out correctly and signed. They make arrangements to deliver the Golf Suitcase to the Starters for the following week.
